Great Settlement Opens The Door For The Continuation Of A Great Coaching Career

Personal Injury and Wrongful Death cases are not all we handle here at the Wininger Law Firm. We have been extremely fortunate to represent great friends who need legal assistance in other areas as well. We just successfully concluded a complex matter for a great college basketball coach.

I am extremely happy to announce that we have been successful in settling an important case for our long-time friend and client, Coach Chris Giles. Many of you will remember Chris from his basketball playing days where he was at Birmingham’s Parker High School, where they won a State Championship, and where in his senior year Chris was City MVP. He went on to play for legendary coach Gene Bartow at UAB and was an imposing force for the Blazers as they reached the “Sweet 16” in his junior year and the “Elite Eight” as a senior. Chris was named first team “All-Conference.”

After a brief stint in professional basketball, Chris returned to his true love, coaching. He served as an assistant coach under Mike Anderson at UAB, where they won a conference title. From 2006 until this past February, Chris was the head coach at Miles College, building a strong team. His dismissal led to legal disputes that we handled for Coach Giles, and now that all issues have been successfully resolved, Chris is looking forward to continuing his career in coaching.

Good luck, Coach Chris Giles!! See you in the “Final Four” in the not too distant future!!
