Birmingham Attorneys for Serious Injury Victims

Passionate Legal Representation in Alabama

In 1964, David D. Wininger had a vision to provide premier legal service to those seriously injured or who have lost a loved one in an accident. In 1987, his son, DeLeal Wininger, Jr., joined the firm, and together, the two men have dedicated their lives to serving the legal needs of individuals and families throughout Alabama. Today, the vision still lives and they have proven that personal service is an attainable goal.

Community Involvement

The Wininger Law Firm, LLC, is proud to contribute to and be a part of the Birmingham community. We not only help our clients, we support several organizations and the culture of our community. A thriving Birmingham is something we work for every day.

David D. Wininger has been on the board of Rickwood Field for decades. The stadium is one of the city’s top five attractions and one of the country’s most historic baseball fields. It was the creation of industrialist Rick Woodward. While still in his 20s, Woodward bought the city’s professional baseball team, the Coal Barons. Baseball Hall of Famer Connie Mack designed “The Finest Minor League Ballpark Ever,” which opened in 1910. The stadium was also the home of the American Negro League’s Black Barrons.

David is also a long-time member of the board of the American Baseball Foundation. It’s a nationally and internationally recognized organization co-founded by legendary sports medicine physician James R. Andrews, M.D. Its vision is to educate children through sports-based academics.

The New York Yankees mural by Stephen A. Smith on the firm’s building dominates the cityscape on Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard North. It features Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Derek Jeter, and Yogi Berra. The mural is the result of a lifetime devotion of the Wininger family to the team.

The Wininger Law Firm, LLC, is the home of the Birmingham Artcycle. It offers free, donated art supplies that can be recycled into art rather than being added to landfills.

The firm is in The Whilldin Building, the former office of one of the state’s most influential architects, David Oliver Whilldin. The structure was finished in 1924 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Wininger Law Firm, LLC, is proud to have renovated this nearly hundred-year-old building so it can be enjoyed now and in the future by Birmingham residents and visitors.
